Resources for the
Uninsured and Underinsured |
|
|
|

BHCA
assists individuals who may be eligible for
MCHP, PAC, or
Baltimore Bridge to obtain and complete applications.
Those who may be eligible for other Medicaid programs will be
directed to their area Department of Social Services.
A variety of other health insurance programs and services may also be available to consumers. We
are happy to assist with identifying these resources.

If
You Are Not Eligible for Health Coverage |

With
so many uninsured Baltimore City residents, we know how important it
is to identify
low and no cost health care services. Our work in
the field brings us into contact
with family members who are not eligible
for MCHP, PAC, Baltimore Bridge, or other State Medical Assistance programs. In an
effort to assist these consumers, BHCA created the Consumer
Guide to Low Cost and No Cost Health Care in Baltimore City.

This directory is intended to provide referral information to those
who are in need of health care services but are not insured or have
health insurance that does not meet their needs.
Many of the facilities listed in this booklet accept payment on
a sliding scale basis, which means that the amount of payment for
services is based on the individual’s ability to pay.
Some of the centers offer free services.
Please note that some of the centers listed only serve specific
populations. This resource guide is not an exhaustive list, but attempts
to provide consumers with a variety of services located throughout
Baltimore City. |
