Medical Assistance for Families

What is the Medical Assistance for Families Program?

The Medical Assistance for Families Program is a new health insurance program passed during the Special Session in Annapolis at the end of 2007. The program begins on 7/1/08. Medical Assistance for Families offers Maryland families earning up to $24,600 (for a family of four) full health coverage!   Before this landmark bill passed a family of four could earn only $6,361 a year to get coverage. Now hardworking families can get the coverage they need!

BHCA and Health Care for All have launched a new ad campaign aimed at enrolling 10,000 Baltimore residents!

Listen to the radio ad with Ed Reed, Safety for the Ravens, and Governor Martin O'Malley!
