Our Community Health Education Outreach Specialists assist residents with enrollment into the Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP) or MCHP Premium, two health insurance programs designed for the children of working parents.  We also inform about HealthChoice, Maryland’s Medical Care Program.

We can be found at community events all around Baltimore City providing resource information related to these programs and your family’s health. 

Our Community HealthChoice Advocates (CHCAs) advocate and assist for residents of Baltimore City. Their charge is to educate and provide "front line" community-based outreach to City residents in understanding and accessing HealthChoice and the Maryland Children's Health Program.  Our CHCAs are committed to assisting in the removal of barriers or issues that may keep enrollees from accessing preventive health care (e.g. Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment services for children) and maintaining compliance with ongoing health care for acute and chronic conditions.  We also assist in completing the MCHP and HealthChoice enrollment process.
